FISH & CHICKS has brought fish and chicken to a new level with their new innovative local flavours!
They do have many things on their Menu so LET US JUST BRING YOU THROUGH OUR FAVOURITES!!!!
HERE WE HAVE THE CHILLI CRAB SAUCE FISH – Which happens to be my favourite dish here!!
It is tricky to make chilli crab sauce, but they nailed it! The sweetness and spiciness of the sauce was just right, plus the fish was smooth and oozing with goodness…. and I finished every single bit of it! #gluttonalertWhat we loved about this platter is that it came with another flavour – CURRY!!! Which I do not fancy (because I don’t like curry spices in general) but AMOS LOVES CURRY, PLUS it was great that we could share a single dish with two different flavours, so we had tummy space to try the other food on their Menu!!
According to Amos, the curry tasted like the curry prata houses serve, but the thicker version and labelled it as “THIS IS DA BOMBZ” haha! Also, they had a promotion going on which is:
$2/softshell crab upon purchase of any Mains, which we were entitled to cause we ordered the Chilli Crab and Curry fish dish 🙂THIS WAS SO GOOD!!!
I was expecting it to be mehhhhh cuz $2/crab, I was thinking… “confirm not good quality one”
but. I. was. wrong.
IT WAS CRISPY AND TASTY WTHECK!!
I LOVED THIS And 1 crab = 2 halves, so we had 2 crabs = 4 halves (or 4 pieces) SO IT WAS DAMN WU HUA (worth it)??!! 赞赞赞 100/100 FOR YOU ~ They also have a nachos cheese dip available to dip your softshell crab in….. yumz or YUMZ YOU TELL ME??
The sauce was creamy and salty and eggy just like how a good salted egg sauce would taste like! SURPRISINGLY NOT GELAT (surfeiting)!
Chicken was juicy and tender, batter complements the sauce, you don’t feel like you are tasting two separate things, they blended well together with my saliva and all in my mouth HAHA.
The only thing we didn’t finish was the rice because we were trying not to take too much carbohydrates but we wanted to try the rice. There was sous vide egg that went along so well with the mildly flavoured rice and the seaweed bits!
AND THE BEST PART OF FISH & CHICKS IS THAT……
IT IS HALAL CERTIFIED!!! SO EVERYONE CAN ENJOY IT 🙂
Plus now it is the ramadan period, so to all our fellow Malay friends if you do not want to queue too long at Geylang Serai, here is another YUMMY OPTION for you!! Another dish that we ate was the Mentaiko Salmon pasta which we tried but didn’t think it was fantastic so we are not going to feature it here! The salmon was a little overcooked so it didn’t make it to our list of favourite foods.
BUT THE OTHER DISHES MENTIONED IN THIS POST ARE DEFINITELY WORTH THE CALORIES 🙂
